Moss covered stairs leading into the forest, towering trees, evergreen vines climbing up everything, historic buildings full of vintage decor, and a laid back vibe give Portland a friendly reputation for travelers. We’re big Portland fans and if we lived anywhere other than Southern California, that’s probably where we’d be.
Portland sits on the Columbia and Willamette rivers, in the shadow of snow-capped Mount Hood, so we decided on this trek, we’d head out and hit the mountain trails, because why not? Of course, no trip to Portland is complete without getting microbrews, getting cocktails at the Secret Society, and visiting the arboretum to just maximize our nature fix. And finally, we decided to make it a real adventure and finally stay at the darling old schoolhouse turned hotel that is the Kennedy School. What a perfect adventure!
