Spring is in bloom, and that makes it mini sessions season! 2026 has been off to an busy start, so this is a great time for a pit-stop to document you and your wild things. Whether you’re seeking new headshots for your business, content for your social media, an update of your family’s cuteness, or just some snuggly moments with your fave human (or pet)—I’m here for it! Minis keep things short and sweet in cases where you only need a smaller number of images, want something simple to use for your website or cards, or just want a brief update to grace your walls and document your ongoing family story.
DEETS: Minis are on sale for spring! They are now $400 with 20 minutes of coverage, at one of the locations/dates below. There’s five minutes of leeway, beyond that, time cannot be extended as there may be another client waiting right after you. Sessions are available for a maximum of six people in one single group (if you have a larger group, reach out to book a full adventure session at a location of your choosing on another date). Reminder that ALL the images from the session are included for you, your gallery will include at least 30 images, probably more. Simple & easy! You’ll receive your gallery within two weeks, and you’ll be able to download directly from it.
LOCATION: This spring season, we’re keeping it simple with a single location. We’ll be at Liberty Station, specifically near Luce Court & Legacy Plaza. You’ll receive a confirmation email with detailed instructions for the exact meeting spot, as well as some session prep advice, shortly after booking.
KEEP IN MIND: If you have the kind of kids (or hell, adults) that take quite a while to warm up, a mini may not be the best fit for them. Some folks just need more time to ease in and get comfortable. Particularly, some have an easier time of it if they’re in a familiar place, like home, or a local park. And some clients just have bigger visions for choosing their own locations, and having outfit changes. DETAILS: PLAYFUL MINIS AT LIBERTY STATION
Happy spring, friends! Somehow I’ve never done minis at Liberty Station, so let’s fix that! You can never go wrong with rustic minis while spring is in bloom, and Liberty Station is sure to deliver on great and convenient variety. From its charming historic buildings, to sweet grassy areas for picnic energy and plenty of shady trees, not to mention lots of easy free parking. What’s not to love? Features include:
- Historic charming buildings and arches
- Big open grassy areas to play/run/picnic
- Lots of shade trees and tree-lines walkways
- Rustic paths with more of a wilderness energy
- Vibrant marketplaces
Note that there are six slots in the late afternoon between 4:00-7:00pm, which means the light will be very different during the early sessions vs the later ones. During the sunniest periods, we may want to lean into the shadier/covered areas for great even light. Later slots will be during golden hour so we can venture out into the open a little more if you like. Should y’all want to bring a blanket we can always lay it out and get a little picnicky if desired!
Liberty Station has tons of free public parking lots throughout, though a handful of small lots are private or paid so be sure to make a note. Keep in mind that this area can be quite busy, so should a special event be going on or should the area just be crowded, it may be necessary to adapt our preferred locations a little and you might have to park further as none of the mentioned locations are guaranteed. Allow yourself lots of extra time to arrive and seek out parking just in case! Due to unforeseen events, it’s possible a location change could be necessary. In the case of inclement weather, events may be delayed or rescheduled.
