If you’ve been itching for a reason to glam up and get out of your house, well here it is! We’re so excited to offer an opportunity for 2021 spring mini sessions! Whether you’re seeking new headshots for your business, content for your social media, an update of your family’s cuteness, or just some snuggly moments with your fave human (or pet)—I’m here for it! Minis keep things short and sweet in cases where you only need a small number of images, want something simple to use for your website or holiday cards, or just want a brief update to your ongoing family story.
DEETS: Minis are $275 and 20 minutes each, at one of the two locations below. Time cannot be extended as there may be another client waiting right after you. Sessions are available for a maximum of six people in one single group (if you have a larger group, reach out and we’ll book a full adventure session at a location of your choosing on another date). You’ll have eight downloads included from a gallery of at least 30 to select from. If you’d like to upgrade with additional downloads, or to the full gallery download, that’s available as well (and a super great deal).
SAFETY: We’ll be masked and safely socially-distanced from all clients, and we will request all clients wear masks while waiting at the meet-up spot until their session time begins, when masks can be removed. You’ll receive an email with detailed instructions for the exact meeting spot (as well as session prep advice) shortly after booking.
CHARMING GARDEN MINIS AT THE ARBOR & RUSTIC TRAILS
Falling on Mother’s Day, this should be an easy way for mamas to persuade their resistant family members to join them for a delightful session. But it’s not exclusive to mamas—all are welcome! Located at the south end of the park at the top of a hill, and surrounded by lots and lots of lovely trees, this area features the following options to choose from (you’ll have time for up to two):
- A historic and charming Spanish-style white-columned arbor
- A big grassy area with trees in the background (we’ll provide a picnic blanket if you want one)
- Grand old draping pepper trees (California’s answer to willow trees, we love them!)
- Rustic trails surrounded by beautiful curly desert aloe
- A scenic view from the hilltop
- Darling old-fashioned stone steps (to stand or sit on)
- A colorful Mexican battalion mural at the site of an old fort
This location offers limited nearby street parking (which is likely to fill up on a holiday), or you can park in the large lot beside the museum and walk up (5-10 minutes). Please keep in mind that it’s possible that particularly on a holiday these could all be busy areas, and none of the above locations are guaranteed. Due to unforeseen events, it’s possible a location change could be necessary. In the case of inclement weather, events will be delayed by one week.

HISTORIC MINIS AT THE MUSEUM AND IN THE GROVE
A quiet Monday for likely much fewer people around, this is within view of a large parking lot so very easy-access. Located at the north end of the park, this area features the following options to choose from (you’ll have time for up to two):
- The historic Spanish adobe architecture of the Junipero Serra museum
- The arches and colonnades outside of the museum
- Lots of Spanish tile surrounding the building
- Two different cozy brick staircases (surrounded by white adobe walls)
- A rustic eucalyptus grove (mixed in with CA pines)
- Flowering bushes likely to be in bloom
This location’s parking is very convenient in terms of proximity, but bear in mind that there will be a full set of stairs involved, as the museum is uphill from the parking lot. Please keep in mind that none of the above locations are guaranteed, and due to unforeseen events, it’s possible a location change could be necessary. In the case of inclement weather, events will be delayed by one week.
