Helping celebrate amazing humans is what we’re all about, but with a small intimate gathering on the coast, while working with an awesome team, this was an extra-special day to us. It’s also a particular privilege to work with fellow creatives (Chris is a fellow photographer), and working with a team of talented vendors and friends. So this day was just full of fun impact and inspiration on so many levels!
We are such huge fans of Venessa & Chris. This darling small seaside wedding was a blast and a half. These two had a vision for celebrating their day that involved a smaller private ceremony and dinner with their closest friends and family, followed by a larger dance party with their full crew. It featured a gorgeous A-frame floral ceremony arch that doubled as sweetheart backdrop, and the florals were to die for—rustic and pretty with a nonstop volume of king protea and lush yellow and orange pops and garland all across their long U-shaped table arrangement. We’re always obsessed with Leah’s work at Bespoke Floral and Design!
Their ceremony and dinner were perched high on a deck at L’Auberge Del Mar, so the dramatic sunset backdrop dazzled. Of course, Venessa dazzled most of all, in her incredible lace gown with the distinctive modern patterning. Walking the beach with the couple at sunset was magical. We also loved the progression to the full dance party with the whole crew. where the father of the bride surprised everyone by having all the kids in the wedding party show up with Justin Timberlake masks since that’s who the bride refers to as ‘her boyfriend’ — it was adorable!
