These two filled my heart right up to the brim. They’re incredibly sweet and fun and lovely to excess, and we had such a fantastic day celebrating their teeniest tiniest union. And I got to work with the always-wonderful Bethel Nathan, whose ceremonies always make my heart go gooey. When Shanna and Kellen reached out and told me about their elopement plans and baby news, I knew this was going to be a happy day, but I wasn’t fully prepared for the laughs and joy we had in store. From cocktails/mocktails at You & Yours to a classic Balboa Park wander and finally, a union by the coast… it was perfect.
Hot tip: you might notice that instead of doing the ceremony first, we kicked off with drinks and then a portrait session pre-ceremony. This timeline can work great for when the lighting on the coast will be better later in the day, or when your plans or timeline are limited. Or in this case, it really helped make their location choices more feasible with the least inconvenience. There is no reason why things need to be in any particular order, and as you can see, this order made things super duper fun!
