Pure and simple love. Meridith and Matt are such shining rays of energy and light. Their beautiful love story culminated in the sweetest wedding, full of laughter and nestled among palms beside the grand and vast ocean. His avid pursuit of her—committing to run and learning to play soccer, both for this dazzling woman? Yep, I’d say it was most definitely worth it!
Our day started so quietly and brightly, as Meridith and her family got ready in a beautiful home overlooking the ocean. I loved the way both her mother and mother-in-law glowed with such a happy brightness, the way Mer’s sister made her chuckle, the way dad was fierce behind the camera. There was so much warmth.

This location will just take your breath away. Perched right over the beach, we could admire the sunners and surfers lapping up the beach and waves, respectively. The day was perfectly mellow, both in weather and mood. They couldn’t have picked a better spot—they were beaming and basking in the fresh ocean air that swells along the modern wood and glass structures of Scripps Seaside Forum.
Meridith was all aglow in a million frilly folds of dress, and a smile that stretched a million years. One look at her, and Matt’s big heart read all over his face. An eager community looked on as this utterly natural love was bound together.

It was all so natural, and carefree. Guests mingled and snacked on delicious hummous and tabouli concoctions. Folks were knocking back the freshest-looking bevvies and strewn across the grass and beneath the lovely lanterns. Jumping and laughing and loving. Doesn’t get much better. Did I mention there were bunnies?

These two could NOT stop smiling. That is what it’s all about. Their smiles were more than infectious—it was like an epidemic of colossal proportions. We escaped down to the beach, and these two cuties frolicked in the sand, among the seaweed, and beneath the pier. Just look at this gorgeous woman. The epitome of regal.

Their first dance was… AMAZING. It was choreographed to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” by their good friends Miko and Eli, whom you’ve seen on the blog before in full-on country cuteness. Little did you know they’re a couple of fierce dance talents. But I think everyone’s minds were blown when Mer & Matt started sauntering toward each other with this rad performance.

Yes, you’re looking at Pinkberry froyo instead of cake. Swoon is an undertstatement. It was SO much fun! And it of course led to only the greatest kind of dance floor craziness. A whole slew of these friends and family had some dazzlin’ dance moves.

Meridith and Matt—you two are really the perfect match for one-another. I’m so honored to have been part of such a tender and lovely day. May your brightness continue to inspire so many.
