Margaritas and papel picado and charming mexican architecture, and then a little wooded adventure. So much fun with these two gems. Not only are these two long-distance adorables amazing and silly and gorgeous, but they inspired me to share an important message. Feeling uncomfortable being photographed is totally normal. Clients often come to me with anxiety, not loving being on camera yet wanting to preserve the magic of their wedding and their relationship. In fact, this is what I specialize in. The fear of being awkward and uncomfortable is completely normal, and I promise you all… when on camera, nobody knows what to do with those crazy appendages we call hands. Not even when we photographers get in front of the camera!

This Old Town engagement session that kicked off at Casa Guadalajara was such a great illustration of how significantly worth it it can be to adventure together to get comfortable before the big day. You don’t need any extra nervousness or stress. My job is to help make you comfortable, make sure you have a great time, and to help you to just be yourselves (without directing and arranging you just so). ‘Cause you are seriously magic when you’re having a good time together. Don’t these two make you want to squeal? I wanna squeeze their cheeks and laugh with them forever. I love that they took that nervous energy and channeled it into such a fun and silly experience together. To say they wowed me would be an understatement. Still giddy!
