I find myself often longing for the hazy chilled magic of autumn. In the depth of summer heat, I always experienced a little thrill at the thought of fall around the corner—leaves and color and mood. After moving to San Diego almost a decade ago, I came to adjust to the distinct lack of real seasons. But discovering that access to Autumn is a short trip away was a wonderful surprise. These are a few of my favorite things, really. Cool autumn air, crisp leaves under foot, and breathtaking views… a perfect setting that called these two lovebirds to the mountains.
