Moody, mystic magic paired with designerly modern touches, bright ferny bouquets, and a wild dance party make for a truly excellent wedding day at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna. Bobby and Amy threw a joy of a party, with the inspired goal of bringing the great outdoors in. Due to her maid of honor’s pregnancy, they had a limited time to plan their big day, so alas, out in the middle of nowhere on a mountain just wasn’t feasible. With the help of Jesi Haack Design‘s wild ideas, and The Love Riot’s badass coordination they’d bring the rustic magic they craved right to this resort overlooking the Pacific. They had a gorgeous and tender ceremony lined with tree stumps topped with rustic florals and modern gold geometric prism ornaments. Their adorable (and bow-tied!) pup hovered excitedly nearby, and you’ve never seen such joy on two people’s faces as the lavender flew during their recessional. I loved Amy’s sweet pink flats, her keyhole back lace dress by Maggie Sottero, and the truly epic fernalicious bouquets by Foxtail Florals. And what an inspiration the music was—Bobby brought together two incredibly talented musicians who had never collaborated before to perform the music for the ceremony as well as performances during their reception. It was a dreamy mellow day that led into a wild dance party. All the feels and all the fun!
