Oh my heart, revisiting a classic adventure with my dearest bestie Susan!

Winter in Mammoth Lakes inspires adventure at every turn. From skiing and snowboarding at the world-famous Mammoth Mountain (California’s highest chairlift-serviced peak) and miles upon miles of cross-country and snowshoe terrain to snowmobile adventures and family fun-filled with sledding and snowball fights, there are so many ways for everyone to enjoy this spectacular, snowy winter wonderland. In our case—we ventured away from the wild activity for a forest and lake trek to bask in the perfect white snow, mountain peaks, pine tree, and wonder.

Oh, and on the way home, we pit-stopped at the incredible Alabama Hills because why not!
