If you needed an ear-to-ear smiling dose today, this is it. Times a zillion. These two humans are some straightup salt-of-the-earth delights. They laughed from start to finish—they truly had the very best time in every single moment of this wild bash of a playful day. They are such a beacon of light to their friends and family, and—of course—the design details were perfectly on point from this super talented DIY design pair! Nothing fussy, but full of thoughtful style and mostly just all about rallying the best people to make the day feel so special. I particularly loved the tearful and laughs-filled private family toast in memory of Katie’s mom after the ceremony, the fantastic family kazoo sing-along, and of course the pool-jump grand finale! The vibe was so laid-back and relaxed and above all, full of an electric joy (and again, SO much laughter). What. A. Day.
We kicked off where we’d finish off—at the laid-back, low-key Inn at Sunset Cliffs. This is a charming little coastal hotel/motel, brightly-colored around a central pool and with the greatest view of the ocean. You miiiiight even recognize it—back in the day it was featured in Veronica Mars (as her apartment). It’s a super unfussy venue that makes for a great place to rally all your friends and fam. And it’s a 3-minute walk over to the nearby cliffs for your ceremony. Perfect golden sunshine dreams ahead. Oh, heads-up, this is a long-ass post because I loved every second of this day, so #sorrynotsorry. 🤷♀️ Read on, sunshine friends!
