Classic Midcentury Wedding Laughs

This wedding was such a timeless throwback, and yet modern bash of laughter and love and then some more laughter for good measure. Y’all know the desert is my happy place, but the true gift of this day was getting to celebrate with two gems who truly, above all else, just wanted to have the best time ever with their favorite people. And boy oh boy, did they ever accomplish it. I am so over the moon that these two combined their unique kookiness to become such an unstoppable force of laughter and kindness and the biggest of hearts.

Katie and Nick both work in the film industry and being accustomed to life on-camera, it was a lark to keep chatting about nerdy gear stuff but also have them so at ease being shot. Bringing all their friends and family from LA and beyond, they really wanted this wedding weekend to feel almost like a destination wedding, a real getaway that let them step into the past. So Indian Wells Country Club really served that up with its historic architecture that felt straight-up rat pack. With a view of the mountains right at their feet, who could resist?

Oh, and we def have to talk about that flawlessly darling first look by the rocks where they each admired the hell out of each other so hard I was in my feelings. Followed by the raucous party popping champagne with their wedding crew on the golf green. Loved their amazing ceremony full of feelings and laughs (and that backdrop, wow!), loved their mountainview cocktail hour energy, loved their amazing series of speeches that featured props and even rapping, and loved the wild and wacky dance party that ended in a surprise of dad playing them a song on the piano before their sendoff.
