Historic & Timeless Prado Wedding

Classic details abound in the sweet tale of Brad and Laura’s wedding day. These two are equal parts tender and classic missed with kooky and playful, and capturing their love was such a major treat! Not even joking: Brad got down on one knee to ask me to be their wedding photographer. So yeah, do I love these two? I adore them!

This lovely pair brought all kinds of tender, loving, adorable energy to their day, amidst the grandeur of Balboa Park and its timeless gem, The Prado. From her classic strapless gown to her blushing bridesmaids dresses to the pastel-hued bouquets I was living for the sweet ladies’ style. And this groom was a sharp dresser, too—Brad’s handsome gray suit paired with his charming pink striped bow-tie, amiright?

Gorgeous moments filled this dreamy day, and because they’re such an emotional and tender pair, I knew sparks would fly right from the start. We celebrated their intimate first look beside the giant exposed roots of enormous fig trees, where tears were shed and joy was bountiful. Following that, we strolled Balboa Park’s colonnades and captured sun-kissed portraits amidst the historic architecture. Then these two lovebirds joined two lives and two families under a DIY chuppa in the gardens of the Prado. It was meaningful and heartfelt, and my fave part was mom’s tender song during the ceremony! After ththat wrapped, guests and the happy couple dined, toasted, and danced under the warm glow of whimsical string lights inside the historic Prado ballroom. What a quintessentially grand San Diego wedding!
