Every so often, when coming up with a fun plan for an engagement session adventure, a couple throws me for a loop. Sloane and David are all things fun and fantastic, so I shouldn’t have been surprised when they suggested descending upon their favorite furniture shop to frolic and bask in its wonderful weirdness. How could I say no to H.D. Buttercup?
Not only did I desperately want ALL THE THINGS, but these two had selected such a fantastic spot for us to explore. Nooks and crannies and strange and wonderful goods abounded, and plenty of antics, mischief, and delight were had. Then we went on to wander around Culver City, in maybe the most fabulous skirt ever created. Yep, I’d say this was a pretty damn good day. These two shine so bright it hurts my eyes.

Oh my gosh cuteness overload! What a unique spot too! So awesome.
We were super crazy about their creative idea for a fun session. Thanks so much!
Your titles are classic and your photo shoots are always so much FUN! Love it. <3
It’s hard not to have fun with such a playful couple. :P Thanks very much!
Oh so fun and playful! Love that flamingo dress!
Thank you! We’re nuts for that dress, too!
This is so fun! I adore this couple already. The location choice and wardrobe are both awesome! You did a great job capturing their vision!
They sure brought a whole lot of good energy and ideation to the table, they made it easy. :P Thanks!
Are you kidding me with this location? So cool! How unique!!
Right? Thanks a bunch!
This post really speaks to your creativity and artistry, doing a session in a furniture store wouldn’t be everyone’s first choice, but after seeing these amazing photos I’m sure everyone is going to want a session there now! xx
Aw man, that is just SO super kind of you. It definitely is an extra challenge to shoot in an unusual spot, but also so inspiring. :)
