This classic countryside garden wedding at Au Vieux Moulin is extremely near and dear to my heart. The bride is my sister, and I was a combination of photographer, stationer, and maid-of-honour. Which you can imagine was… um… a lot of hats to wear. I couldn’t possibly have pulled this off without my darling Susan as my partner and co-lead photographer: anytime I needed to be in photos, it was all Susan, and the rest of the day we split up. Somehow, in pulling it all off, I’m able to look back over these and be sucked right back into the memories of exactly what it felt like to be there, witnessing my little sister unite her life with Josh… witnessing our two families coming together, celebrating into the wee hours of the night (yeah, on the east coast, weddings go ’til three or four a.m. easy). My dear, sweet, focused, tender-hearted sister, all grown up and making a whole new life. From the ceremony tears to the wackiness to the literal dozens of speeches to the all-night dance party. I still have the feels. So let me share a little about this darling day.
