When you start with an inspiration board all about dark and mystic wanderlust, your event is sure to be a dream, and that’s exactly what this gorgeous day was—a dreamy escape, right within the raw urban arts district of downtown Los Angeles.
The Big Fake Wedding is not your average wedding show—it’s an indie alternative to a traditional yawn-worthy wedding expo. A real couple renews their vows in a full-on decked out wedding environment. All vendors get to show off their skills by creating an amazing and inspired wedding event that guests can bask in! With incredibly talented vendors creating amazing work (for example, the macramé ceremony backdrop by Frankly Weddings and Laceroots blew my mind), photographing this was a joy, because it was a feast for your eyes, everywhere you looked! I loved the rustic-meets-urban environment filled with old brick and graffiti and bold city vibes but also east-meets-west and adventure-inspired table settings and decor.
