I first photographed Haley & Shane years ago for their engagement session in the woods and at Modern Times… later captured their amazing Palm Springs wild wedding at Frederick Loewe Estate… so as you can see, this is such a totally delightful couple. After a traumatizing bout with cancer and their inability to conceive, these truly wonderful humans had been put through the wringer. So they embarked on a very difficult, complicated, and heart-wrenching adoption journey. Suffice to say it was really really really not easy. But I can enthusiastically say it was all worth it, for when they got the call to bring home Charley. Meeting this little guy has been a next-level experience. I know how loved he was even before they ever met him. And capturing this joy has given my heart all the gooey feelings.
I don’t know how I managed to forget to post this over the past few years (well, I mean… definitely the pandemic didn’t help), but I’m jazzed to right that wrong and share this joy.
