In the face of 105º desert heat, after a decade together, east-coasters Kyle and Jim threw the exact unfussy party they wanted, yet stayed so dialed in to who they are. I admired from the start how clear they were on their priorities and goals, how they were driven to make the day just right for them and their fantastic community.
With a minimalist simple energy, but with pointed, thoughtful intentions for certain delights (how much do I love those disco ball ring boxes they handmade?!), it was laughs and love all-around, and considering the hot weather, their friends and family still rallied in such a big way to make it the most fun day. I love bearing witness to that which is so heartfelt and true, and to the uniting of lives and love for those who absolutely do not take this step for granted. This day was a beautiful experience, and I feel so glad to have gotten the privilege to tell the tale.
