Nicolas and Lando are two utter charmers. I first met Nicolas over fifteen years ago. That makes him one of my oldest friends. When I met him, I was a fussy, self-involved teenager, annoyed that my kind friend had invited this over-eager guy to sit at our table as he’d been eating alone. He didn’t really know himself then, and I found him taxing. I suppose I didn’t really know myself, either. Well, years later, I can say I am fortunate to have him in my life. He is a treasure, full of joy and song and amusingly snarky commentary. He’s a fiercely loyal, dedicated friend. But he wouldn’t be who he is without Lando. When he announced he’d met a Brazilian man several years his senior and was in love, many of us raised our eyebrows. But lo and behold—Lando turned out to be everything Nicolas needed and then some. His gentle warmth and steady nature was a perfect compliment to Nicolas’ energy and exuberance. He is a talent in his own right, having *hand* illustrated the delightful invite featured below. They compliment each other so much—they each bring what the other needs to the relationship. It’s a beautiful thing.
They held a sweet wedding in July, and I was delighted to be able to set some time aside before the event to photograph these two together, full of excitement and happiness and love.

Beautiful! I love the bottom picture where they’re kissing — their heads and the lines of their lapels look like a heart. Joyful <3
Awww. Love that you noticed that, even I hadn’t. ;)
Ahhh! That illustration is so darling! I illustrated something for Cory as a wedding gift so I find it an especially sweet touch.
These are beautiful Jasmine. Love how their tie/bow-tie match all the greenery surrounding them…
I totally want to see what you illustrated for Cory!
Wonderful photos!
I agree with Jade. The colours of their ties match the green scenery enveloping them, which make it all go together so well!
I love their colors! And the hand illustration is absolutely amazing! I hope he does this on a regular basis.
Beautiful pictures and congrats to them!
He has worked in design for years, but I definitely think he’s moving into illustration. I mean, it’s too cute not to, right?
