Carl and Nicole are all sorts of badass! The kind of badasses that pairs ridiculous and awesome antics with utterly enviable and chic style. The kind of badasses that stand up for what’s right. The kind of badasses who just don’t take themselves all that seriously. They were friends in the swing dance scene for years before things escalated to something more, and Carl eventually proposed while in Italy (well done, sir!). I joined these two dance maniacs for an afternoon adventure on a sunny San Francisco day for a little small-town neighborhood-hopping in the big city. First stop: Ice Cream Bar SF where these two shared scoops and giggles and carefully concocted creations. Then the silly antics continued at the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Golden Gate Park where there may or may not have been all the face-making there ever could be, and photobombs of the gods. Through the drapey florals and mossy stairs, these two heroic sillies stood atop aged garden stones with childlike enthusiasm followed up by the sweetest tenderness in the trees. A final pitstop had these hunks cuddling up with tea at The Interval cafe, an awesome cafe/library in Fort Mason featuring a 10,000 year clock. What can I say? It’s a privilege to watch these two adventurers love in their silly and awesome way. Can’t wait for their wedding later this month!
