Adventure. Not only does it pulsate in the veins of these two wild things, but they wanted to share their adventurous spirit with all their wedding guests. They decided to balance their urban inclinations with the fact that they regularly climb mountains all over the world. To do this, Megan and Ray chose chic, reclaimed-wood and metal Moniker Warehouse as a start point and with the help of talented Melissa Strukel of PowWow Events they brought together the same excitement and thrill of exploration they find in all of their world treks into a stylish city setting where guests cozied up as if by campfires. The camping-meets-midcentury style provided by Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom served as the perfect inspiration and brought the spirit of stylish discovery to life at Megan and Ray’s wedding.
Quite the charmers, she sported a short, sassy lace dress and he, a dapper polka dot bowtie. Their rings were handcrafted from wood sourced from their adventures in Africa. They pitstopped at their favorite beer bar, Monkey Paw, for a quick pint right in the middle of the wedding! They’re a pair of playful troublemakers, always filled with antics, and the setting absolutely encouraged all the guests to have a great time, with details like teepees, tacos from Miho Gastrotruck, and twinkling lights, they delighted in all that evening had to offer. The magical glamping fun continued when the bride and groom lit afire their very own DIYed s’mores cake and invited their guests to partake in a full make-your-own s’mores bar and a pourover coffee corner. Beneath the glittering moon and stars hung in the cozy nooks, these two hitched their lives together. It was a super stylin’ day of joy and delight, just what every wedding should be!
